THE LEARNING CULTURE OF CUMLAUDE GRADUATES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM UNIVERSITAS NAHDLATUL ULAMA PURWOKERTO

This research discussed the learning culture of cumlaude graduates pursuing their studies in the English Language Education Study Program at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Purwokerto. The objective of this research was to find out information regarding the learning culture of the graduated students, which encompassed the learning methods, learning behaviours, and learning habits experienced by the graduated students during their study. The research method employed was descriptive qualitative, and the instrument used was an interview sheet. The results indicated that regarding learning methods, the graduated students utilised the pomodoro technique, audio-visual methods, and discussions with peers. Furthermore, in terms of learning behavior, similarities were found in learning preparation, attending class, visiting library, and facing exams. However, there were also differences in behavior, some students preferred skimming or scanning, and audio-visual methods as a substitute for reading. Lastly, regarding learning habits, it was found that the cumlaude students had the habit of managing the learning time. Consequently, the researcher identified an inherent learning culture among students who had graduated with cumlaude honours.
