Abstract
Sacrifice is sharia for Muslims by slaughtering livestock that has been
determined by Islamic law and is carried out on Eid al-Adha. In community
activities during Eid al-Adha, there are many practices of buying and selling
sacrificial animal skins with various motives and reasons. This activity has
become a habit in Pruwatan Village.
This research uses qualitative descriptive research that aims to describe
and analyze phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions,
thoughts of individuals and groups The type of descriptive method is a research
that focuses more on collecting and analyzing data with the aim of describing
the characteristics of phenomena accurately, objectively and the relationship
between variables. Data collection with observation, interviews and
documentation. Data analysis with data reduction, data presentation, data
analysis.
The results of the research can be concluded that based on the number
of scholars of Imam Maliki, Imam Shafi'i, Imam Hanbali agree that the trade
of sacrificial skins is not permissible (Haram) because it refers to the Qur'an
and Hadith. Meanwhile, Ulama' Madzab Hanafi is of the opinion that it is
permissible to exchange the skin of the sacrificial animal for something else.
With the concept of customary is law, this tradition becomes permissible by
being forced to originate with beneficial purposes.
