Abstract
This research is motivated by the low learning motivation of students in Mathematics at Grade II of MI Ma’arif NU 1 Sawangan, as evidenced by a lack of attention, engagement, and enthusiasm during the learning process. To address these issues, Canva-based learning media was implemented. This study aims to describe the implementation of Canva in Grade II Mathematics instruction by reviewing aspects of Attention, Perseverance, Activeness, Pleasure, and Autonomy, as well as identifying the supporting and inhibiting factors of its implementation.
This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research was conducted at MI Ma’arif NU 1 Sawangan, involving the school principal, the second-grade teacher, and second-grade students as subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while questionnaire data were analyzed using percentages.
The results indicate that the implementation of Canva learning media was carried out effectively through the stages of planning, execution, and evaluation, although formal reflection at the end of the lessons was not yet optimal. Student motivation across the five observed aspects—Attention, Perseverance, Activeness, Pleasure, and Autonomy—showed positive results.
